Life in
the Lewis-Clark ValleyWell school is definitely going by fast. I
can’t believe that we are already half way through the semester and already, I
have made a lot of memories! I am staying really busy with a lot of homework and
have already learned how to manage my time a lot better. Tennis has been keeping
me busy as well, with practice, then workouts outside of practice. Managing time
is very important if you want to go to bed at a reasonable hour, but that hasn’t
really happened yet. I am having the time of my life and continuing to meet a
lot of new people. I have already gotten my daily routine down, considering I
basically do the same thing everyday and everyone always has those days where
they just want to sleep through everything. I now have learned to put my alarm
across the room so I have to get out of bed to turn it off. That is becoming
more and more helpful as time goes on.
The tennis girls have been taking me around
Lewiston and even Clarkston and being able to see the town has been really cool.
My roommate and I have been doing quit a bit of shopping for food considering we
don’t have a lot of time to head down to the cafeteria to eat. Seeing the
town has been something that we are spending more time doing. The restaurants
here are pretty good, but money is becoming an issue. I have to watch how much I
spend weekly and have limited myself to a certain amount now. So far that is
going good.
Classes are going really well. Even though I
haven’t had a lot of papers to write yet, I still find myself having a lot of
homework. My professors here are really cool, and they are more than willing to
help you at any time. Whether it’s through emails or coming into their office
during office hours for extra help. They are very enthusiastic about teaching,
which makes classes a lot more bearable. It is very helpful to take the time and
meet your professors so they know you rather than just as a student.
Other than all of that, I am really enjoying
myself here and couldn’t have asked for a better place to be. The people are
very friendly and fun to be around. I am looking forward for more good times as
the year continues on and trying new things on and off campus. College really is
one of the best times of your life!
