Real Estate
Module I
is the introduction for business students or
applicants for the real estate salesperson
license. No previous real estate knowledge is
necessary. Module I is 45 hours of 90 hours
required in Idaho for pre-licensing and part of
the 60-hour Washington required fundamentals.

Module II
is a required class for real estate salespersons
licensing. Module II is the second 45
hours of 90 hours required in Idaho for
pre-licensing and may be used as part of the 60 hour
Washington required fundamentals.
Business Plans
(Developing and Submitting)
Do you need a
business plan but don't know where to begin?
This course is for you. Most businesses
never start, or fail early, due to lack of good
planning. A business plan is an essential
document for describing goals and objectives,
and enabling the measurement of progress toward
achieving them. In this course you will
learn the three elements that a successful
business plan consists of and eleven different
steps used in creating an efficient written
business plan, and much more.
Credit and Collection for Small Business
Should your
business carry customer accounts? Can you
afford to? A firm accounts receivable
portfolio is often the largest asset on the
balance sheet; therefore, should be
regarded in much the same way as any other
commitment of business resources. This
course will focus on credit and business as it
pertains to small business and entrepreneurs.
You will learn about the role of receivables
management and the working tools that are
available to the person performing credit and
collection tasks. This course will address
questions such as: Is a credit department
needed? And why offer credit policies?
You will also learn about credit files and
records, credit decision-making, the
investigation process, and much more.
Introduction to Small Business
(Starting and Managing a Small Business)
This course
will focus on what you need to know about
opening a small business. We'll give you
the practical knowledge you need when starting
your small business and where to go to get more
information and assistance that will be needed
prior to opening your business. This
course will cover thinking creatively, and
turning your knowledge and skills into efficient
self-assessment, where to find help and
networking, and the creative process. You
will also learn why accounting matters, legal
issues relating to small business, budgeting,
and much more.
Technical Writing I
In this four
hour course, participants will learn the basics
of audience analysis. They'll also learn
the definition of technical writing and how
proficiency in technical writing can improve
their work and peer relations at work as well as
overall agency and company wide performance.
There will be in-class exercises and
discussions. Learn how to design writing
that informs rather than impresses. Learn
the concepts of active voice, second person and
present tense. This course is a must for
anyone who communicates with the written word
within an organization of any size or type.
Technical Writing II
In this four
hour course, participants will identify the
barriers they experience in technical writing.
They will learn to generate solutions to those
challenges. Learn to eliminate wordiness,
getting to the point efficiently and
effectively, and the goal of your writing.
Learn the mechanics of e-mail etiquette and
proper punctuation. There will be in-class
exercises and discussions that will reinforce
the writing strategies leaned in the course.
