EMT Online/On Campus Class Description
The EMT course provides training to acquire the
emergency skills necessary to assess a patient's
condition and manage respiratory, cardiac and
trauma emergencies. The theory portion is
presented online. In addition, you will
complete hands-on skills training in the
classroom and additional
clinical training in the emergency room and on
18 years of

EMT-B to EMT Transition
This course meets the NREMT transition policy
that all NREMT-B's complete a state approved
transition course prior to their 2014
recertification to retain their EMT license at
the national level. All EMT-B's licensed
prior to January 2012 must also take a
transition course to be approved to teach EMT

If you have not already done so you must also complete 5 classes on the Idaho
Health & Welfare website and bring the
certificates to your transition course.
The classes required are: Extrication Awareness,
Landing Zone Officer, HazMat and Incident Management-ICS 100 and
Idaho Emergency Medical Services Education
