Replace Data in a Table

Get Ready
Display the table containing the data you want to replace in Datasheet view. Click here: GO if you don't know how to do this. Click the Back button on your Browser to return here when you're through.

Begin
Display the Edit menu and then click the word Replace.
OR
Hold down the Ctrl key and then type H.
Type the text you want to replace and then press the Tab key.
Example: Worldwide
Type the text you want to use as a replacement.
Example: WorldWide
If necessary, select the name of the table from the Look in box.
Select an option from the Match box.
Example: Any part of field

To replace the text throughout the table:

Click the Replace All button.

To replace the text once or twice:

Click the Find Next button. Access will select the first instance of the text.

If you wish to replace this instance, click the Replace button, otherwise click the Find Next button again. Continue until each appropriate instance has been replaced.

When you’ve finished replacing text:

Click the Close button.
