Make sure you’ve created a copy of the database and stored it in a safe place. |

Open the database for exclusive use. (On the File menu, click Open. Click the arrow to the right of the
Open button, and then click Open Exclusive.) |

Display the Tools menu and then point to the Security command. Click the Set Database Password command. The Set Database Password dialog box will display. |

Type a password and then press the Tab key. |

Type the password again and then press the Enter key. |
