Determine the name and the type of the
database
from which you want to retrieve data. Example: Excel files |

Click the cell where you want
to start the insert. |

| Display the Data menu and point to the Get External Data… command. |

| Click the New
Database Query command. In a few moments, the Choose Data Source dialog box will display. |

| Click the Use
the Query Wizard to create/edit queries check box. |
|
| If necessary, click the Databases tab. |
|
| Double-click the option matching the type of data and then select the file you want to query. |
|
| Follow the instructions on each page of the Query Wizard to complete your query. |
