Get Ready
Determine how many cells you want to select.

Begin
To select one cell:
Click the cell
To select a range of cells:
Click the first cell in the range
Hold down the Shift key
Click the last cell in the range
To select an entire row:
Click the row indicator
Example: 1
To select an entire column:
Click the column indicator
Example: A
To select more than one row:
Click the row indicator for the first row in the range
Hold down the Shift key
Click the row indicator for the last row in the range
To select more than one column:
Click the column indicator for the first column in the range
Hold down the Shift key
Click the column indicator for the last column in the range
To select non-contiguous rows or columns:
Click the column or row indicator for the first column or row
Hold down the Ctrl key
Click the column or row indicator for the next column or row
To select the whole worksheet:
Click the Select All button. This is located to the left of the column indicators and above the row indicators.
