The phlebotomist is responsible for the proper collection, processing, and testing of blood specimens and various patient excretions.

During this course, you will complete 51 hours of class­room instruction which includes: basic anatomy and physiology of the vascular system, venipuncture, medical ethics, legal issues and much more. You will also complete 120 hours of hands-on training at a variety of clinical locations.

Upon successful completion of this program, you are eligible to take the American Society for Clini­cal Pathology national examination.
