The phlebotomist is responsible for the proper collection, processing, and testing of blood specimens and various patient excretions.
During this course, you will complete 51 hours of classroom instruction which includes: basic anatomy and physiology of the vascular system, venipuncture, medical ethics, legal issues and much more. You will also complete 120 hours of hands-on training at a variety of clinical locations. Upon successful completion of this program, you are eligible to take the American Society for Clinical Pathology national examination.
