Our Industrial Mechanic/Millwright program includes 30 months of theory training. Students complete their theory coursework through correspondence learning. Students complete a fall and spring semester each year they are enrolled in the program.
This program provides students with a comprehensive perspective of the skills and knowledge required to perform the duties of a Millwright. Millwrights, as a vocation, perform varied skill and knowledge based functions in the manufacturing environment. Production depends on the Millwrights' abilities to correctly identify potential problems; correctly diagnose potential and immediate problems; perform maintenance; repair or replace mechanisms; and perform a multitude of other duties. A Millwright who has both knowledge and skill enhances safety, production and industry reputation.
