A dental assistant works under a dentist's supervision to prepare equipment that will be used in dental procedures, ready the patient for these procedures and assist the dentist during procedures.

During this fast paced course your instructor will teach you the basics of dental assisting.  You will learn about charting, infection control, cavity classification, anatomy of the mouth, chair-side assisting, radiographs, dental materials and procedures.  You will also complete 40 hours of clinical time in dental offices.

Our dental assisting program meets requirements for students to take the National Entry Level Dental Assistant (NELDA) certification through the Dental Assisting National Board. For more information on the exam or the Dental Assisting Nation Board please see link below. Our program code is 2403 when completing your application.
