Phlebotomists take blood, collect specimens, and perform medical laboratory testing. They use specialized medical equipment to study samples collected.
During this course, you will complete 54 hours of classroom instruction which includes: basic anatomy and physiology of the vascular system, venipuncture, medical ethics, legal issues and much more. You will also complete 100 hours of hands-on training at a variety of clinical locations. Upon successful completion of this program, you are eligible to take the American Society for Clinical Pathology national examination.
