Peer Consultants

The LCSC OWL is staffed by LCSC students who have been recommended by faculty for their writing and interpersonal communication skills. Several peer consultants have completed more than 400 hours of peer conferencing, and they mentor, informally, new peer consultants. Peer-consultants also participate in regular staff meetings to ensure continuity and contribute to the professional development of the center. Many consultants have also attended conferences such as the Rocky Mountain Peer Tutoring Conference to further develop and learn about new tutoring and writing strategies.
