Taryn has been the athletic department's assistant athletic trainer since 2015, evaluating and treating the injuries of all athletes at LCSC. She also assists in game and event coverage including the NAIA World Series.   

Taryn is in her second year as certified athletic trainer for Lewis-Clark State College. She is also a member of the NATA and Idaho Athletic Trainers Association.

Taryn is orginally from Colorado, where she received her bachelors degree at Mesa State College, now Colorado Mesa University in 2010. Following graduation, Taryn received a graduate assistant position at the Univerisy of New Mexico as the athletic trainer for the Cross Country/Track and Field program for three years graduating with a Master's Degree in 2013. Her thesis topic on hamstring injury rate in sprinters and jumpers. She began her Ph.D. in exercise science as the graduate assistant for UNM Swim/Dive and Volleyball programs.

Taryn also was involved in the University New Mexico Preceptor program, overseeing athletic training students including the management of evaluations, rehabilitation programs and organization of competition in track and field/volleyball and swim/dive.

On her off time, Taryn and her husband Adam, are riding their bikes and horses with their two daughters Melody and Charlotte.
