Financial Aid

Scholarships and Waivers

Due to the implementation of our new scholarship system, the 2021-2022 General Scholarship Application will not be available until Monday, December 7, 2020. The March 1, 2021 submission deadline will remain unchanged.

Anyone will be able to browse our library of scholarships, but only current students and future Warriors who have secured an LC State Student ID Number will be able to log in or create an account to apply for scholarships.

If you haven't applied for admissions yet, you can apply now with our Admissions Office. Once you have applied, you should receive your LC State Student ID Number in 7-10 business days.

Thank you for your patience.

Effective with the 2020-2021 academic year, the total financial aid package (including Federal, State, Institutional and outside resources) for a student cannot exceed the Cost of Attendance. Individual institutional (merit and Foundation) scholarships may be eliminated or reduced to avoid exceeding the Cost of Attendance.

LCSC provides access to a wide variety of institutional scholarships, out-of-state tuition scholarships/waivers and outside funding opportunities. Scholarships are available for various majors, minority students, first-year freshmen, transfer and non-traditional students.

Lewis-Clark State College participates in the RaiseMe scholarship program. RaiseMe enables students to earn micro-scholarships throughout high school, starting as early as 9th grade, for doing all the things to best prepare them to succeed, including earning good grades, volunteering in the community or joining an extra-curricular activity. Micro-scholarships earned in RaiseMe are included in, not added to, the merit scholarship offer a student may receive. Additional scholarship opportunities are available through the General Scholarship Application.

Lewis-Clark State College will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status, or sexual orientation. This policy applies to all programs, services, and facilities, including applications, programs, admissions, services and employment.

Effective with the 2020-2021 academic year, institutional policy limits students to only one of the following scholarship offers per academic year: Foundation Scholars, Laura Moore Cunningham or LCSC merit scholarships (Presidential, Provost and Dean). Students may, however, be offered other institutional scholarships in combination with these.

  • Awards are based on academic merit, financial need or a combination of both.
  • For scholarships requiring a General Application, only one application, paper or online, need be submitted.
  • For all scholarships which include the statement "demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office", students must file a FAFSA prior to the March 1 Priority Deadline. This is how financial need will be determined. If no FAFSA information is on file by the Priority Deadline, the application will be considered incomplete.
  • The General Scholarship Application is only available for undergraduate students. Post-baccalaureate students are not eligible.
  • Out-of-state tuition scholarships/waivers are available to non-resident students.
  • Out-of-state tuition scholarships/waivers are applied to out-of-state tuition and fees and are not intended to cover in-state tuition or fees.
  • The number and dollar amounts of scholarship awards each year will depend on the availability of funding.
  • Individual scholarship programs may be eliminated or reduced subject to changes by Idaho State Board of Education or Idaho legislative regulations.

Below is a list of scholarships grouped by major, division or category. Review available scholarships by clicking on the link(s) that best fit your program or interests. Each scholarship summary on the subsequent pages will indicate the application required for applying. For those requiring a General Application, the printable or online application is available on the side of each page. Only one General Application, paper or online, is required per student.

Scholarships awarded by Lewis-Clark State College are based on available funding. Many scholarships are funded from endowment revenue or by individual donors. The number of scholarships awarded and the amount of each is subject to change depending on conditions in the financial market, changes in college policies, or other factors. Scholarship awards are not final nor official until a formal, written award notification has been generated from Lewis-Clark State College.
