Search Committee Information
Prior to conducting a search, please contact Human Resource Services. A representative from the department will meet with the Director / Division Chair and Search Committee Chairperson to review the applicable forms to make sure they are completed correctly.
Once Human Resource Services receives the approved Affirmative Action forms, we will place the advertisement on our HRS website and other advertising sites such as the Idaho Department of Labor and Indeed.com (at no additional charge) to recruit a diverse applicant pool. The search committee is responsible for placement of all other ads in journals, publications and other recruiting media that are relevant to the position. Please click here to view advertising sites.
The search committee will receive an email from Human Resources with the log in information to view the applications on ApplicantPro (note: excludes Classified positions). All search committee members will need to have a signed Confidentiality Agreement on file before being assigned applications.

If moving expenses will be offered, please mark this on the Request to Hire form. The employee must first pay for any moving expenses incurred. The moving expense reimbursement is determined by an employee's base salary subject to maximum reimbursements. For more information, please see LC State's Budget Office website.
The search committee chair will need to consult with the appropriate Dean/Vice President/Provost/President before bringing candidates on campus and making an employment offer.
Human Resource Services will need to be notified once an offer has been made and the candidate has accepted, so that the electronic Background Check can be sent to the candidate. Once the background check has been completed, Human Resources will notify all candidates that the position has been filled. It is common courtesy for the search committee chair to notify the candidates who were interviewed via telephone or on-campus. The Search Chair will need to complete the Report of Hire and send to Human Resources to close the Affirmative Action file.
Supervisors who hire an internal employee must complete the online Inter-Campus Move Process Form. This will ensure the employee's access is modified to align with their new job responsibilities.
