Open auditions for LCSC-produced play will be held on Feb. 6

LEWISTON, Idaho – Auditions for the play “The Secret In the Wings” will be held on Feb. 6 at 5:30 p.m. at the Silverthorne Theatre inside the Administration Building on the Lewis-Clark State College campus.

Auditions are open to all for the LCSC-produced play, which is based on the book by Mary Zimmerman. The book, published in 2014, concerns a child and the frightening babysitter with whom her parents leave the child with. As the babysitter reads from a book, the characters in each of the fairytales materialize, with each tale breaking off just at its bleakest moment before giving way to the next one.

At the audition, prepared monologue is preferred, but not required. Callbacks will take place on Feb. 7 at 5:30 p.m.

Rehearsals for the play will begin on March 5 and performances will run April 18-21.

For more information on the auditions, contact Nancy Lee-Painter, LCSC associate professor of theatre, at [email protected] or call 208-792-2345.
