About Trent
I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Linfield University School of Nursing- Portland Oregon Campus in 1988. Following five years of active nursing practice in Medical-Surgical, Critical Care, and Pediatrics settings, I attended the University of New England, earning a Masters of Science in Nurse Anesthesiology in 1996.
My career in Nurse Anesthesiology and Advanced Practice Nursing has allowed me opportunities to experience many clinical specialties in both urban and rural independent-practice settings actively applying the nursing sciences while mastering the "art and science" of anesthesia. I have also served many roles as a staff and nursing student clinical educator, writing and implementation of clinical practice policy, and working in complex teams in the setting of surgery, trauma, pain-management, and obstetrics.
I enjoy collaboration in team settings and have a passion for teaching and mentoring core competencies and values needed for future generations of professional nurses working in ever dynamic, challenging and changing patient care settings. My daily goal in educating, anesthesia practice, and life is to smoothly integrate technology, science and experience to meet each students and clients needs with rigor, excellence and compassion.
