Celebrate Arbor Day 2024 with a LC State Campus Tree Tour! We have over 1000 trees on our campus with approximately 100 different species and cultivars. LC State campus is a Level 1 Accredited Arboretum with ArbNet and a Tree Campus Higher Education with the Arbor Day Foundation.
Join us for an hour-long tour of our Arboretum, showcasing unique trees and spring blossoms. Take this opportunity to get outside and learn about trees on campus, the basics of how to identify them, and how they are helping students, faculty, and staff remain healthy. The tour will start near the first floor entrance (south side) of the SUB.
Tour is open to all faculty, staff, students, and even community members! Tour will be led by Carrie Kyser, Chair of the Arboretum Committee.
