M.A. Organizational Leadership, Gonzaga University, 2006
B.A. Business Administration, Gonzaga University, 1996
Jenny has been teaching in the Business Division at LC State since 2009. Her area of focus is Management and Leadership, and she especially enjoys the topics of company culture, organizational ethics, organization development, and strategic planning.
Active learning methods and experiential learning are valued by Jenny and put into practice by her students. She believes that strong engagement with course content and others in the class - or even in community organizations - are some of the keys to successful learning.
Prior to teaching at LCSC, Jenny served in several leadership roles spanning corporate, nonprofit, and municipal environments. In addition to teaching, she also facilitates leadership and organization development activities primarily in the form of strategic planning and board training. This keeps her well-connected to business activity and trends that she can bring back to the classroom. Jenny has been a guest speaker/presenter for federal, regional, and state level organizations, and is a blog contributor for the Institute of Organization Management, sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Jenny is strongly committed to the philosophy and practice of Servant Leadership, especially in the following characteristics: commitment to the growth of others and community building.
