Computers are large and powerful data storage systems that can be difficult to organize and maintain. In this class, you will learn how to store information by creating desktop shortcuts. You will learn how to file documents, search your computer for lost files and how to use search engines. We will even dive into your e-mail inbox and learn how to manage messages. All of these functions can make using the power of your computer's capabilities enjoyable and efficient. A computer is provided to each person for optimal results.
Fun information packed 3 hour session that gives you a complete overview of the ways of the "Net". We will cover viruses and protection. Firewalls, phishing, passwords, shortcuts, folders, saving pictures, search engines, wildcards and more. A computer is provided to each person in the class for optimal results.
Excel for Beginners
This 3-hour session is specially designed for people who have never used Excel. The pace is easy for beginners to keep up. Learn the basics of creating a worksheet, selecting cells and typing in data among a few other basic tasks. We have found that some students who enroll in the Excel: The Basics have trouble keeping up with the goals of that course. This class is designed to have a slower pace, especially for the Excel beginner. Once you complete this course and you are ready for more, Excel the Basics class will be ready for you.
Excel the Basics
In this 4-hour session, you will learn the most commonly used menu options in Excel. Learn to compile data, build charts, and track statistics. You will learn to create worksheets that perform simple calculations and techniques to manipulate data into a presentable format. It is suggested students enrolling in this course be familiar with a computer keyboard. It is also an advantage if you have had some exposure to the use of Excel.
Excel Beyond the Basics
In this class, you will learn to use spreadsheets to track inventory, sales, personnel and other important data. You will learn to use formulas and work with multiple spreadsheets, as well as how to insert charts, graphs, and create multiple pages of interlinking data. You will learn how to use formulas for increased proficiency. If you have experience with Excel, and want to move to a higher level of use with the tasks listed above, this course will work for you.
Introduction to Outlook and Email
In this course you will use Outlook to send, receive, manage, and add attachments to email messages. You will learn to organize and store messages by creating folders. Some of the basic features like the Ribbon, Tabs, Groups, and commands will also be covered. A computer is provided to each person for optimal results.
Requirements: Student must have an Outlook email account or create one prior to class.
Outlook Advanced Features
Take your Outlook skills to the next level. In this 2-hour class you will learn how to utilize some of the advanced features Outlook has to offer. This course will teach you how to share your calendar, add appointments, and setup meetings with multiple contacts. You will learn to add, manage, and group contacts. You will also learn how to utilize the task list and notes features. A computer is provided to each person for optimal results.
Requirements: Student must have an Outlook email account or create one prior to class.
Part 1- Discover the Essentials
In this hands-on training you will learn how to format your documents and make them look professional. Learn to use and customize the basic essential components of Microsoft Word to make your word processing tasks quicker and easier to complete. Every student will have the use of one of our up to date computers in our computer lab
Part 2- Explore the Features
MS Word is loaded with bells and whistles to make your job easier and more efficient. In this fun hands-on training, you will learn how to use the build in features of MS Word to make your documents look eye-catching and professional. Take this class after completing Word Part 1 to maximize your skills and understanding of MS Word. Every student will have the use of one of our up to date computers in our computer lab.
Part 3- Putting it all Together
Make sending out large mailings a breeze. Continue to learn how you can unlock the power of MS Word in this fun, HANDS ON class. You will create tables and letters, and use the merge feature. Maximize your learning by taking Word Part I & 2 prior to this class. Every student will have the use of one of our up to date computers in our computer lab.

You will learn skills to distinguish relevant and irrelevant information, evaluate information, utilize non-linear and logical thinking, and more. Accounting Fundamentals II
In Accounting Fundamentals II, you’ll explore such topics as special journals, uncollectible accounts receivable, plant assets, depreciation, notes and interest, accrued revenue and expenses, dividends, retained earnings, and various financial reports for corporations. If you’re interested in increasing your financial awareness and accountability while also gaining a marketable skill, this is the course for you.
QuickBooks Part 1- Getting Started
In this 3-hour session you will learn the Basics of QuickBooks. Learn how to set up a company, navigate menu bars, work with lists, chart of accounts, and set up bank accounts.
QuickBooks Part 2- Accounts Payable/Receivables
An intermediate workshop for learning the basic setup of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries along with other essential bookkeeping elements for the small business.
QuickBooks Part 3- Reports and Budgeting
This class is not for the beginner. You will learn how information you enter flows into other parts of QuickBooks. Learn what reports are available, how to read and interpret data, budgeting, and analyzing your financials.
