About Jeanette

Hello! I am originally from Norristown, PA and ventured out west with an opportunity in graduate school to teach at the McCall Outdoor Science School. I have lived in Lewiston since 2006 and started working at LCSC soon after! In my time here, I started a family, started a small business (JGB Yoga) and enjoy raising my two boys (Cedar and Donald) around campus and the LC Valley, encouraging a love of learning, biking, yoga, walking, and community connections in Normal Hill and beautiful downtown Lewiston.

I am in my second decade teaching science and yoga as an adjunct faculty member at LCSC. I teach NS150, Intro to Natural Sciences, Geology 120, Intro to Earth Sciences, SD107-First Year Experience, and Kin 131-Hatha Yoga, Meditation Yoga, and Yoga Retreat Weekend. I am passionate about experiential learning and along with former NS150 students, I founded the LC Learning Garden in 2014. The garden continues to expand as a collaborative outdoor classroom, demonstrating sustainability related projects and producing food for student and community members experiencing food insecurity. The garden is located at 817 7th Street (near the LCSC President's house)- please visit and enjoy!
