LEWISTON, Idaho – Traditionally held in the fall, Lewis-Clark State College’s Homecoming will now be held in the spring, school officials have announced. This year’s celebration is April 20-25.
The move from fall to spring will allow programming to be in conjunction with Warrior baseball, a program with a rich tradition that includes 19 national championships. Officials expect the event to add to growing energy and enthusiasm for a school that eclipsed 4,000 students for the first time in its history this past fall.
“LC State is on the rise and Warrior baseball is an incredibly important part of its culture and history,” LC State President Cynthia Pemberton said. “Homecoming in the spring will help us continue to build on the growing school pride we see in alumni, on campus, and in the community. This will be a wonderful celebration of LC State. Go Warriors!”
The theme this year is “Glow Up” and, like previous years in the fall, will feature many student events early in the week, with alumni, friends, and community programming increasing on the weekend. The Warriors will host Warner Pacific for four games, two doubleheaders, on April 24-25 at Harris Field.
The Clearwater River Casino & Resort is the title sponsor of this year’s event. More information about Homecoming will become available at www.lcsc.edu/homecoming.
