Hello! My name is Angela Wilson, and I'm the Senior Instructional Designer in eLearning Services. I work primarily with faculty who teach in Canvas, and I develop asynchronous training courses in Canvas for the variety of technologies used for online instruction at LC State. I also run workshops for faculty on Canvas and educational technologies, and serve as the eLearning representative on a number of campus committees. I've been with eLearning Services since 2009.
I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from LC and a bachelor's degree in Visual Communication from the University of Idaho. I completed my master's in Educational Technology online through Boise State University in 2013.
I'm also an adjunct teacher for LC; I teach Introduction to Online Coursework, which teaches students how to use Canvas and how to be successful as an online student. I've taught this class for over five years, and I really enjoy it. I especially enjoy having "tech-hesitant" students and seeing them grow and develop into confident technology users by the end of the semester.
In my free time, I like to read (mostly fantasy and science fiction), build puzzles, play Dungeons&Dragons, Cricut, dabble in 3-D printing, go camping, and spend time with my kids.
