About First Year Experience
First Year Experience supports a variety of activities for new students to help ease the transition the first year students to LC State.
About Us
From the start First Year Experience conducts freshmen surveys to better understand students. We facilitate First Year Orientation Courses (SD-107: New Student Orientation) that helps students understand themselves, their environment, how to access resources, and how to persist to achieve their goals. We also provide follow-up calls/correspondence to students who are struggling, assistance in academic advising, following up with students who withdraw from the college, assessing students interests and facilitating the pursuit of those interests.
