About Amy

I have been teaching for almost 27 years and LOVE what I do. I teach mostly composition courses as well as some communication and first-year experiences classes. I earned my bachelor and master of arts degrees from the University of Idaho. I later earned my post-baccalaureate degree from Lewis-Clark State College in secondary education English. Now I am pursuing a paralegal degree. A legal background will enhance my teaching by sharpening my analytical skills for rhetoric and problem solving and offering a deep appreciation for the precision of language.

I am also passionate about designing high quality open educational resources and the access they afford learners. In addition, I love hanging out and taking care of my family. And when I am not gardening, I'm thinking about my next gardening project.

My mantra is to never stop growing from new experiences.

"Live a life full of humility, gratitude, intellectual curiosity, and never stop learning. " - Gza
