About Laura

I joined the faculty at Lewis-Clark State College in 2007 after completing my Ph.D. in sociology at the University of Oregon. I also hold an M.S. in sociology from the University of Oregon and a B.S. in psychology with a minor in anthropology from James Madison University. My research and teaching interests cross several subfields in sociology, including environmental sociology, rural sociology, and the study of marriage and family. In addition to upper-division courses in these areas, I also enjoy teaching SOC 101: Introduction to Sociology and ID 300A: Animals and Society as part of LCSC's General Education program.
