EU official will speak at Lewis-Clark State College March 7

The Lewis-Clark State College Social Sciences Division is hosting a visit by Tony Lockett, Head of Sector - Web Communications with the European Commission, the executive body of the European Union. Lockett will speak on the topic of "EU-US Trade Relations" on Thursday, March 7 at 12 noon in Sacajawea Hall Room 208 on the LCSC Campus. His talk is free and open to the public.
Lockett will also offer a presentation in the International Political Economy class taught by LCSC Political Science Professor Leif Hoffmann.
Lockett is currently a European Union Fellow at the University of Washington where he is pursuing research on the use of digital media to enhance public engagement with the European Union. He has been involved in European Union policy making for over 15 years, most recently in the area of regional economic development (which accounts for one third of the EU's budget, and represents a key element of its strategy to recover from the financial crisis).
