Fall semester classes begin August 26

Lewis-Clark State College is ready to welcome new and returning students to campus for the start of the 2013-14 school year.
New student orientation takes place on Friday, August 23 at the LCSC Activity Center beginning at 10 a.m. LCSC President J. Anthony (Tony) Fernandez and Vice President for Student Affairs Andy Hanson will address students.
On Saturday, August 24 residence hall students take part in their annual 1/2 Day of Community Service from 9 a.m. - noon. About 140 students will be out in the community donating their time.
The projects include:
* Un-bagging clothing at St. Vincent de Paul in Clarkston
* Un-bagging donations at Opportunities Unlimited thrift store
* Organizing books at the Lewiston Library
* Painting classrooms at LC Valley Head Start
* Running Kids' Carnival games at Hot August Nights at Pioneer Park
* Picking up after Hot August Nights
Fall semester classes begin Monday, August 26. Also on Monday, the annual LCSC Welcome Fair will take place from 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the area east of Sam Glenn Complex
