LCSC Stegner Lecture Oct. 11 features author Katie Ford

Lewis-Clark State College presents the 32nd Annual Wallace Stegner Lecture on Friday, October 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the Center for Arts and History, 415 Main St., Lewiston. This year's lecture will be presented by Katie Ford.
Katie Ford is the award-wining author of Deposition and Colosseum, both highly acclaimed books of poems. Colosseum, features poems about Ford's life in New Orleans before, during, and after Hurricane Katrina. Colosseum was named one of the "Best Books of 2008" by Publishers Weekly. Ford is also the author of the forthcoming Blood Lyrics.
For her work, Ford has been awarded the Academy of American Poets Prize, a Pen American Center Grant, a Lannan Literary Award, and the Larry Levis Reading Prize, among others. She attended Whitman College, Harvard University, and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. She served as poetry editor for the New Orleans Review from 2005-2009, and remains a Contributing Editor. Katie Ford teaches creative writing at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, where she lives with her husband and daughter.
