Science and math focus of Imagine event for girls

LEWISTON, Idaho – The wonderful worlds of science and mathematics will be front and center at Imagine, an event for area girls at Lewis-Clark State College on Saturday, March 15, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The LCSC Professional Technical Education Center is teaming up with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho to put on the event, introducing girls, grades K-12, to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) role models through “engaging hands-on activities” designed to motivate the girls into being innovative and creative thinkers.

 The schedule for Imagine is broken down into age groups:

  •  Grades K-3   10 a.m. – 12 Noon  SWAG included
  • Grades 4-6    12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.  SWAG included
  • Grades 6-12   9 a.m. – 2 p.m.  Lunch and SWAG included
