College announces 2014 Rosehill Estate Visiting Scholar

LEWISTON, Idaho - The Lewis-Clark State College Humanities Division, with generous support from the Rosehill Estate, is pleased to host Dr. Valerie Hegstrom as the 2014 Rosehill Estate Visiting Scholar.

Dr. Hegstrom, in conjunction with LCSC Women’s History Month, will be presenting at 6 p.m. on March 25, 2014, at the Williams Conference Center on the LCSC campus.  Her lecture titled ‘Finding Maria do Ceo, or What Spanish and Portuguese Literature Have to Do with Women’s History Month,’ will feature her astounding accomplishments in finding historic manuscripts of conventual writings from Portuguese nun, Sister Maria do Ceo (1658-1753).

Dr. Hegstrom is an Associate Professor of Spanish and Coordinator of Women’s Studies at Brigham Young University - Provo.
