Ghosts, Fragments, Melodies, & Pages at CAH

LEWISTON, Idaho - The LCSC Center for Arts & History (CAH) presents Ghosts, Fragments, Melodies, & Pages, a new work by Robert Tomlinson, an award winning Oregon artist.

The opening reception for Tomlinson will take place as part of Downtown Art Walk on Friday, September 26, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.  The exhibition runs through November 7.

Robert Tomlinson is a professional artist, working primarily in three different mediums: collaged silver gelatin photographs, mixed media drawings, and language- based installations.  He has had 32 solo shows and his work has been selected for over 75 group exhibitions.  He is the recipient of a Pollock/Krasner Grant, RACC Project Grant, and has been an artist-in-residence at the Ragdale Foundation, the Kala Institute, and the Montana Artists Refuge.  He is also the co-founder of 13 Hats, a group of 11 writers and artists who did collaborative projects and exhibitions in Portland, Oregon between 2011-13.

Tomlinson will provide professional development workshops for area artists the Saturday following Artwalk.  In addition, he is providing Master Class instruction through Continuing Education on November 8:  Writing a Dynamic Artist’s Statement 10:30 – 11:45 a.m. and Presenting Your Portfolio/Portfolio Review 12:30 – 1:45 p.m.  Each session costs $40 or $75 for both.

Ghosts, Fragments, Melodies & Pages is brought to the LCSC Center for Arts & History through grants from US Bancorp, the Idaho Commission on the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts.  The gallery is open Monday - Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Admission is free, but donations are welcome.  Docent tours of the exhibit can be scheduled by calling the Gallery at 208.792.2243,
