German mayor to speak at LCSC

LEWISTON, Idaho – Local governance and government abroad are topics to be covered during an International Talk by Dr. Uli Paetzel, the mayor of Herten, Germany on Tuesday, October 14 at Lewis-Clark State College. The talk, sponsored by the LCSC Social Sciences Division, takes place at 10:30 a.m. in Room 122 of Sam Glenn Complex.

Herten is a city of 60,000 inhabitants in Europe’s most populated area of the Ruhr Valley.  Herten is also the hometown of Dr. Leif Hoffmann, LCSC assistant professor of Political Science.  Paetzel will address the challenges and opportunities of a city in the middle of a major economic transition.
