LEWISTON, Idaho - The second annual Lewis-Clark State College Internship Showcase will be held Wednesday, October 15, from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. in LCSC’s Williams Conference Center in conjunction with Idaho State Board of Education meetings taking place on the campus,.
Outstanding student interns, nominated by their Academic and Professional-Technical Division chairs and program faculty, will present posters of their work experience and learning outcomes from their internships and will be available to answer questions about the experience. Supervisors from internship sites have also been invited to visit the Showcase.
At the Showcase, State Board of Education members, the leadership of Idaho colleges and universities, the LCSC community, and the public will have an opportunity to learn how “an internship experience transforms the classroom into the real world” (T. Galusha, LCSC student intern) and how a student intern can have a positive impact on local businesses, schools, and agencies.
Confirmed student intern participants include: Samantha Coulter, Sylvia Isaac, Lauren James, Randy Knight, Courtney Lightfield, Jared Micka, Bryn Oliveira, Abbie Olson, Greta Fairley, Leticia Scott, Amy Stedman, Bryce Wilcomb, and Kaylee Woodard
“The student interns have worked hard to design beautiful, informative posters,” said Mary Flores, LCSC Dean for Academic Programs. “I am inspired by their experiences and the outcomes of their internships, as well as by our community partners who give them great opportunities for professional development.”
