LCSC advises more caution as air quality concerns rise

LEWISTON, Idaho – With area wildfires continuing to produce poor air quality, officials at Lewis-Clark State College on Monday are instructing all faculty, staff and students to avoid any extensive physical activity when outdoors whether on or off campus.

According to Idaho’s Department of Environmental Quality, Lewiston’s air quality index has worsened to the category of “very unhealthy.” For the most recent information on air quality

Children are advised to be kept indoors, events should be rescheduled or relocated indoors, and all athletic practices should be postponed or held indoors.

LCSC is closely monitoring the situation and will post any updates to www.lcsc.edu should additional precautionary measures be needed.
