Alternative Giving Fair to benefit area nonprofit organizations

LEWISTON, Idaho – The Lewis-Clark State College Center for Arts & History will hold an Alternative Giving Fair on Dec.10 at 10 a.m.-4 p.m. to benefit area nonprofit organizations.

The fair, which has free admission, will be held at the Center, located at 415 Main St. in Lewiston.

The Alternative Giving Fair provides holiday shoppers a choice of holiday gifts while supporting local charities and nonprofit organizations in a festive atmosphere. Participating nonprofit organizations create shopping lists of cash designations, ranging in value from $5-$100, that reflect the needs of the organization. For each donation, the shopper receives a holiday card provided by the Giving Fair and an insert with a description of the organization and gift. If a shopper chooses, the donation can honor a friend or family member as a holiday present.

The event includes holiday music, pictures with Santa, and refreshments. The fair also coincides with the Center’s Second Saturday family art day.
