LCSC to host State Board of Education Oct. 17-18

LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State College will welcome the Idaho State Board of Education (SBOE) and administrators from Idaho colleges and universities to campus for a two-day meeting on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 17-18, at the Williams Conference Center.
Wednesday’s session begins at 11 a.m. with a special hour-long opportunity for board members to speak directly with LCSC students, faculty, and alumni. After an hour adjournment for lunch, the meeting will continue with work and possible executive sessions planned from 1-5 p.m.  

“Hosting the State Board of Education annually, is an event we truly look forward to,” LCSC President Cynthia Pemberton said. “It allows us to showcase our campus community and students. We value our strong, positive relationships with the State Board and our sister institutions, and we are pleased to open our home and hospitality to our education partners.”

On Thursday, the board’s general session is scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon, though it is possible the session could continue into the afternoon if necessary.
