Annual LC State CTE Showcase Event for high school students is Oct. 18

LEWISTON, Idaho – The 3rd annual Lewis-Clark State College Career & Technical Education Career Showcase Event for area high school students will be held Friday, Oct. 18, at 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at various campus locations.

The event showcases 19 CTE programs available at LC State through hands-on and interactive activities. Students will tour different CTE areas and have the opportunity to talk to instructors and current students. Following the tour, a panel of industry leaders will discuss the importance of technical skills. Financial information also will be available.

The event is open to all high school students in Idaho Region II as well as Clarkston, Asotin, Pomeroy, Colton and Colfax in Washington.

The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a general overview at the LC State Activity Center and the tour will proceed through the Sam Glenn Complex, the Mechanical Technical Building and the Wittman Complex. Participants will then have lunch provided, and the day will wrap up with a scholarship and other prize drawings.
