Idaho Watercolor Society’s 40th Annual Exhibition and North Region Showcase opens Nov. 4 at CAH

LEWISTON, Idaho – The Idaho Watercolor Society’s 40th Annual Exhibition and North Region Showcase, featuring 28 artists, will be on display Nov. 4-30 at the Lewis-Clark State College Center for Arts & History, located at 415 Main St. in Lewiston.

The display will be in the upstairs galleries at the Center. An opening reception for the paintings will be held at 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Nov. 9 at the Center.

The exhibit is a collection of 20 award-winning paintings from Idaho watercolor artists from this year’s competition. The Idaho Watercolor Society’s North Region Showcase includes paintings from members of the IWS North Region. IWS is a non-profit organization that promotes the use of watercolor media, educates the public about watercolor painting, and gives a yearly scholarship to three student artists attending Idaho colleges.

The exhibit is made possible through grant funding from ARTSIdaho and US Bank and by cash donation from Friends of the Center.

Open Tuesday-Saturday from 11 a.m.to 4 p.m., the gallery features free admission but donations are welcome. For more information about the exhibitions or to schedule a docent tour, call 208-792-2447.
