LC State biology professor to hold book talk and reception

LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State College biology professor Alex Bezzerides will hold a book talk and reception for his recently published book “Evolution Gone Wrong” on March 14 on campus.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. in Sacajawea Hall, Room 115, and feature a talk by Bezzerides, hors d'oeuvres, and a reception afterward giving attendees a chance to visit with the author.

The event is free and open to the public and attendees are asked to RSVP online. Those who RSVP by March 1 will be entered to win a copy of “Evolution Gone Wrong.”

The book, which has a subtitle of “The curious reasons why our bodies work (or don’t),” looks at the aches and pains of the body and why they happen. Bezzerides, who holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a Ph.D. in neurobiology and behavior, has taught at LC State since 2009. This is his first book.

The event is sponsored by Idaho-INBRE and LC State’s Physical, Life, Movement & Sport Sciences Division.
