LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State College often touts the fact that it has education offerings ranging from GED to graduate programs. On Tuesday, LC State celebrated 26 of its GED graduates with a full ceremony at the Silverthorne Theatre.
Graduates included Garrett Adams, Elizabeth Bogle, Emmaleigh Bramell, Brittany Campbell, Antonio Fischer, Melody Fischer, Ruthie Gunter, Hannah Harroun, Charolette Hill, Destiny Hobbs, Lilyan Klein, Isaiah Larsen, Quintana Lozon, Lillee Maxwell, Kendra Moses, Tanner Rankin, Cameron Robles, Chris Sams, Leon Sedgwick, Samantha Stanley, Emily Turner, Judi Wadholm, Johnathan Ward, Emma Watkins, Cindi Williams, Allydia Wooster-Phillips.
President Cynthia Pemberton gave congratulatory remarks before conferring the degrees.
“The completion of a GED or high school diploma is a major accomplishment that opens the door to so much more,” Pemberton said. “We applaud these students, encourage them to dream big, and stand ready to help them continue to thrive at LC State if that’s the path they choose.”
Campbell, Gunter, and Larsen delivered the commencement address.
Overall, LC State serves approximately 200 students with GED services each year and had 87 total graduates throughout the year.
