Lewis-Clark State College is scheduled to undergo a comprehensive Year Seven Evaluation of Institutional Effectiveness (EIE) visit by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) on Oct. 20-22, 2025. This visit is part of LC State’s ongoing accreditation cycle and is intended to evaluate the College’s fulfillment of its mission, institutional effectiveness, and compliance with NWCCU’s 2020 Standards for Accreditation.
Lewis-Clark State College is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). The Commission reaffirmed LC State’s accreditation following its last evaluation in 2018. The College’s accreditation status is currently listed as “Accreditation Reaffirmed.” NWCCU is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Accreditation by NWCCU applies to the institution as a whole.
Public Comment Invited
LC State invites members of the public to submit third-party comments to NWCCU regarding the institution’s qualifications for accreditation. All comments must be signed and received by NWCCU no later than October 10, 2025 (ten calendar days prior to the visit). Comments should relate to the institution’s compliance with NWCCU standards, policies, and eligibility requirements.
