LEWISTON, Idaho — Lewis-Clark State College will hold its Fall Frenzy & Family Weekend Sept. 22-28.
Family Weekend events, taking place Sept. 26-28, are open to students, alumni, parents and the community.
Warrior FanFest kicks off family weekend on Sept. 26 from 4-5:30 p.m. located between the P1FCU Activity Center and Harris Field. Following tradition, the event will include games, face painting, poster making, live music, food, and poster signing prior to the Warrior volleyball match against Eastern Oregon University at 6 p.m. LC State divisions will also host a division fair for future Warriors. Fans will have a chance to win free admission to the Sept. 26 match at the LC State Admissions table during Warrior FanFest.
Sept. 27 events begin with Pastries with the President at 9:30 a.m. outside of the Student Union Building/Center for Student Leadership (SUB/CSL). At 10:30 a.m. participants in the Color Run & Walk will start in front of the SUB/CSL and navigate their way around campus. Admission is $5 and all are welcome to participate with proceeds going to LC State Student Involvement to support events such as its annual grad barbecue. Those participating will be splashed with color powder as they complete the walk/run. Sparklight is the start/stop sponsor for the Color Run & Walk.
Family Weekend continues with LC State volleyball’s match against College of Idaho on Saturday, Sept. 27. The match, in the P1FCU Activity Center, coincides with 1K Day and Elementary School Night. 1K Day is a challenge by LC State volleyball to have 1,000 fans in attendance at the match. If the challenge is met, prizes will be given out to students and attendees. Elementary School Night will offer one elementary student and a parent free admittance to the match if they bring the flyer given to them at school. P1FCU, the match sponsor, will hand out items before and during the match, and group tickets are available for $2 a ticket for groups over 10.
Earlier in the week, Fall Frenzy, which has a student focus, will feature Shopping Cart Races, Warriors Got Talent, Thursday Night Football & Bingo, Yard Games & Craft Night, and a pep rally. All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to join the fun.
Fall Frenzy & Family Weekend is made possible by Sparklight.
