LEWISTON, Idaho — Lewis-Clark State College’s Baseball Alumni Weekend will take place Oct. 17-19 with events held for baseball alumni, their families, and the community.
A Homerun Derby, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Oct. 19 at 9 a.m. at Harris Field. Spectators are welcome to attend with no registration required.
Participation in the Homerun Derby is open to baseball alumni and community members 18 and older. The cost to participate is $20 and includes five swings off a pitching machine to see how many homeruns each person can hit. Participants should use the registration link to secure their spot.
Youth seven and older can volunteer at the derby by collecting baseballs hit to the outfield during breaks. Parents or guardians can sign up their youth by visiting the registration form and a separate release form is required for participation.
LC State baseball alumni and their families are invited to reconnect during the weekend through a meet and greet, sponsored by Realtor Chelsea Blewett of Refined Realty, on Oct. 17 and a golf scramble presented by title sponsor St. Joseph Regional Medical Center on Oct. 18.
