LC State’s DeWenter accepted to NACUBO emerging leaders program

LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State College Assistant Controller Jack DeWenter was recently accepted into the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) Emerging Leaders Program.  

According to NACUBO, the emerging leaders program equips participants with skills to enhance their leadership abilities, foster collaborative cross-campus relationships, and build their professional networks. The program is designed for business officers who want to advance in higher education and focuses on leadership development, the evolving higher education business landscape, communication, and interpersonal effectiveness. 

DeWenter has been with LC State since April 2023 and has held positions as the assistant controller and for a short time the interim controller. He has held roles in accounting/finance since 2012 and most recently was a fiscal analyst with Washington State University before joining LC State.   

He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Washington, a master’s of business administration (MBA) in finance from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio Business School, and a master’s degree in accountancy from Boise State University. DeWenter is a certified management accountant and currently pursuing his certificate in public accounting and CPA License.
