LC State hosts Veteran Education Partner Summit March 10-12

LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State College will host the fourth annual Idaho Veterans Chamber of Commerce Veteran Education Partner Summit, providing state agencies and education institutions with hands-on training and resources to support the veteran community.

The event, which is scheduled for March 10-12, will bring institutions and service providers together with the goal of increasing education and discussion surrounding veteran service gaps and unused benefits.

The summit is geared toward educational institutions, training centers, and agencies at the federal, state, county, and legislative level. Participants can expect to network, learn, and contribute to veteran education program development in Idaho and beyond.

The event will open March 10 with an Idaho Division of Veterans Services School Certifying Officials training, which will help facilitate participants’ understanding and management of veteran education benefits.

Trainings and workshops will be the focus March 11, with Andrew Hanson, senior vice president and vice president for Student Affairs, giving a welcome address at 9 a.m., followed by a tour of LC State’s Healthcare Immersive Learning Lab and Sacajawea Hall.

Roundtable discussions are planned from 9 a.m. to noon March 12 to close out the summit.

Both in-person and virtual attendance are available. Registration can be made at idahoveterans.org/education-summit. More information is available at admin@idahoveterans.org.
