Warriors prepare for ‘Glow Up’ with Homecoming set for April 20-25

LEWISTON, Idaho — Lewis-Clark State College is preparing to enter a new chapter with its Homecoming celebration shifting to April 20-25 to coincide with Warrior baseball.

This year’s theme is “Glow Up,” a way to celebrate the strides the school has made in its 133-year history. The festivities are sponsored by the Clearwater River Casino & Lodge.

“‘Glow Up’ isn’t just a theme, it’s a feeling,” said Jennie Jones Hall, College Advancement director and LC State Foundation executive director. “LC State has come a long way in 133 years, and this generation of students gets to be part of writing the next chapter. We want Homecoming to be something students talk about for years, from the bonfire to the baseball games and our first-ever major concert. This is their week, and we hope our alumni will come back and be a part of it too. There’s no better time to return to campus and see just how far your Warriors have come.”

Major community events include Warrior baseball games and surrounding activities April 24-25, and the Homecoming Concert featuring Nashville, Tennessee, country-rock artist Chris Moreno at 7 p.m. April 25 at the P1FCU Activity Center.

The week will get underway with Homecoming Kickoff at the SUB Amphitheater starting at 5:15 p.m. Monday, April 20. The event is open to the public.

The LC State baseball team will take on Warner Pacific University at 5 p.m. Friday, April 24, at Harris Field, and the Homecoming Bonfire will follow at 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the lot at 1105 7th Street. Members of campus and the community are encouraged to attend. The bonfire will feature a firepit created by second-semester LC State welding students.

LC State will close out the week with its Homecoming Celebration on Saturday, April 25. The Warriors will play Warner Pacific in a doubleheader at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Harris Field. A beer garden will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the P1FCU Activity Center patio. From 2-3 p.m., fans can meet Warrior athletes and the Warrior Zone at the Mini Fan Fest, where poster signing, face painting, and games will take place.

Homecoming week will close with the live performance by Chris Moreno on Saturday. General admission tickets are $10.
