LC State to hold Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Wednesday, April 22

LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State College will hold a Prescription Drug Take-Back Day from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, in the Library parking lot near the intersection of 7th Avenue and 5th Street in Lewiston.

The event, which is free and open to all, allows for the safe and anonymous disposal of unused or expired medications, no questions asked. Accepted medications include prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, pet medications, vitamins, and supplements. 

Items must be in their original container. Any personal details on prescription labels should be blacked out, but do not remove drug identification information.

Syringes, needles, liquids, and inhalers will not be accepted. No refunds for medications will be given. 

The event is sponsored by the Student Counseling Center, LC State Health & Wellness Committee, and the Lewiston Police Department. LC State nursing students will assist during the event.
