LEWISTON, Idaho – Lewis-Clark State College has once again been recognized for the value it provides students and Idaho. Niche, an online resource for prospective students and their families, placed LC State as the No. 1 best value in Idaho for the third consecutive year.
In Niche’s latest rankings, released this week, the college was also ranked the No. 1 best school for nursing in Idaho, and No. 2 among public four-year institutions in Idaho, Washington, and Oregon.
Niche also ranked LC State as the best online school in Idaho, and No. 3 of all schools in the three-state area. It was also selected as the safest public four-year college in Idaho, and the No. 1 small public four-year college in the three-state area.
To complete its rankings, Niche gathered hundreds of thousands of reviews from real students, in addition to input from parents and residents, according to its website.
It also used data from numerous sources such as the Department of Education and U.S. Census, to rank and grade colleges. Ranking factors include return on investment, economic mobility index, net price, graduation rate, median earnings post-graduation, percent of employed students' post-graduation, student-faculty ratio and more.
