LEWISTON, Idaho – Eight regional artists will be featured in Lewis-Clark State College’s Center for Arts & History new exhibit, titled “Rooted In The Palouse.”
The exhibit will run Sept. 29-Dec. 19 at the Center, located at 415 Main St. in downtown Lewiston.
The featured artists, who work across a variety of media, are Tyler Horton, Ray Esparsen, Jen Whitted, Kate Poole, Neil Cox, Rachael Eastman, Wendie Kause, and Kelsey Grafton. A student artwork exhibition will also be featured alongside “Rooted In The Palouse.”
“This exhibition is a celebration of the incredible variety of artistic talent in the Palouse region,” said CAH Director Kristi Brown McPherson. “Each artist brings a unique perspective and creative approach to their work, and together they offer visitors an opportunity to experience the richness and diversity of the region’s arts community.”
An opening reception will take place from 5-9 p.m. Oct. 2, held in conjunction with the Lewiston Downtown Artwalk. There will also be live music, snacks, drinks, and an artist meet and greet. The featured artists will provide a live art demonstration. The reception is open to all.
“We’re excited to bring together artists from across the Palouse and create opportunities for our community to connect with their work,” said Callee Lasley, program coordinator at CAH. “The exhibition showcases just how many different voices and approaches exist within our regional arts community, while also giving visitors a chance to connect with artists and experience their work firsthand.”
